Ron and Keppy Arnoldsen
Before founding Penergy Solutions, Ron and Keppy Arnoldsen own and operate a landscape business in the State College area of central Pennsylvania. Ron started the business in 1993 and it still supplies his clients with beautiful greenery and employees with meaningful jobs. Keppy taught horticulture and environmental science at Penn State for many years before retiring to farm. Her education and expertise in biology helps to keep the learning and growth ongoing. When they started their small organic farm in Cornpropst Mills they needed a way to recycle the farm manures and plant scraps. This simple beginning blossomed into a creative way to recycle food wastes and formed the start of Penergy Solutions and now their fertilizer product called Fertili-Tea.
Founding Principles
· We treat our employees as we would like to be treated ourselves; we treat our customers as our friends; and we conduct our business professionally, honestly, and lovingly.
· We respect the earth, the space we are given to use, and the abundances that are bestowed on us. We encourage ideas and innovations that help to minimize damage to the earth and/or help to repair it. We want to help recycle wastes.
· We strive to stay creative and productive. We stay busy by re-thinking the way we operate and improving on it. Our creativity is an inspiration to our staff and helps to build on the ideas that we have in place for our businesses and lives.
· We feel that we should leave the land better than when we got here and leave our caring touch on all that we do. This includes our work environments and those of our clients.
· We try to help our neighbors and friends whenever we can and aim to feed as many people as we can in a healthy and wholesome way.
· Lastly, we are fond of sharing with others. We were not put on this earth to merely make a living but rather to make a difference while doing so. We try to help others whenever we can in a meaningful way.
